Introduction |
Shaikhunal Farooqui Kunharamutty Musliar (Kunhi Armiya'u Kutty-bn-Muhiyudheen al Farooqui) was one among the eminent scholars in Kerala especially in the branches of Fiqhu, Nahvu, Swarf, Quira'ath & Thajweed etc. He conducted his courses (in the mosque of the nearest Mahllu) at Calicut, during the year 1973 to 1985. During this period of 12 years a good number of people gained knoweldge from his Dhars. Imams of various mosques, teachers in Madrassas, local people all the section approached him and they were taught various branches of knowledge.
Among the contemporaries in the matter of Thajweed Shaikuhuna was in the forefront. On those days he was appointed to interveiw the first Qari for the Thajweed class under Samastha Kerala Islam Matha Vidhyabyasa Board. The class was also inaugurated by him. He has also conducted classes in various parts of Kerala before making arrangemnts by Vidyabysa Board to start hizb classes. |
