Objectives |
The main objective of the CIESCO GIRLS' HOME is the integrated development of orphan girls. It's not just an orphanage segregating orphans from the main stream providing mere institutional care. It is a home away from home where everything needed for their growth is provided with meticulous care. Love, care, protection and security that are essential for the holistic growth of children are provided with homely touch.
The strength of members of the HOME is limited to fifty. We offer food, shelter, clothing recreation, medical care, vocational training and education - both secular and religious. The girls are housed in an ideally suited building equipped with all modern amenities with spacious surroundings to play and relax at Mughadar, Calicut.
Our girls at present study in classes ranging from first standard to post graduate classes and learn arts, science, commerce and technical subjects. Qualified residential teachers are appointed to give them tuition, coaching and guidance.
Extra curricular activities are also being arranged. Debates, discourses, lectures, etc. are being conducted in every month with the participation of religious pundits, scholars and experts on the subjects. Training facilities in cooking, tailoring, needlework, computer applications and so on are provided to grown-up girls.
With the twin object of finding a suitable partner in life and a fitting avocation, the management has devised a scheme known as Orphan Girls' Marriage Fund. We are happy that many of our former inmates have broken the fetters of their orphanhood and are proudly asserting themselves as wives and mothers standing on their own legs leading happy and contended lives.. |
