(Date: 7 Jun 2002) Dear Brothers, Asslamu Alaikum: I typed name of Prof. NP Hafiz Mohammed in yahoo search this morning, it directed me to "Thekkepuram.ourfamily.com" Then i had a random look to the site, indeed it is a good effort by you people. I appreciate the whole team worked behind it, keep up good work. We can say it as a comprehensive website; i am really attracted by the programs like; costal talent hund program, vision 2000, yatheem fund, etc. may allah grace you to keep up such noble activities. It will look nice if you replace the picture of Big Bazar with a better one. Even though it contains some directory and egroup, I could n't find the address of Prof. Hafiz Mohammed, so i hope you may care to make availble such things in future expansion. Wish you good luck

I have been a regular visitor at the Web forum and have given my opinions too in matters which interested me. There have hardly been any women who have put in their opinions about any matter. My opinion is that topics dating back to 1999 should be deleted and the more current ones should remain for all to give their opinions. I noticed that the Thekkepuram site itself was updated on May 12th, 2002, but I could not find anything new. The wedding programs, the news and even the telephone directory needs to be updated. The Kuwait site does not have any news or information about the life/happenings of the Thekkepuramites here. Please don't let this site die away due to the lack of input from the people involoved in creating it.Note: Thanks for your participation in the webforum. The old topics in the webforum are just kept for the reference of late visitors. In order to make the site live and active, I request all thekkepurans to come forward with features, news, etc that tells about thekkepuam and its culture. An effort to update directories is already undertaken by our correspondents. Thanks. Webmaster: Noushad Ali S.M.

I used to visit this site frequently. One of the best site which is helpful for all of us especially for non-residence people like us, to obtain more information of our homeland and around us here. I would like to suggest you to update the Thekkepuram Directory. Anyway best wishes for all success to your group and good luck for future endeavor.

(Date: 26 Mar 2002) Tel: +973 258565 Assalamu Alaikum. I heard about the ‘Thekkepuram’ site a few months back, but unfortunately I had not visited at that time. Two days before I went through the site. I just can say it is a wonderful piece of work. I’m sure the persons behind this have tried their best for the prefection of the site and they really deserve appreciation for the efforts put in. My Hearty Congratulations. This site is very much helpful for us to show and explain our unique culture and traditions to the outside world, especially when we are abroad and living with people with various cultural backgrounds. However, I would like to suggest (not complaint) some points that, I think, would help to improve the presentation of the site. The telephone directory is very much helpful. But try to make all the directories in same format with details of the person’s Foreign and Indian address & contact numbers.· Try to include a telephone directory of “Real Thekkepuram” in Calicut and other parts of Kerala / India, if any. I found Kuttichira but not Kundungal. If you do not include Kundungal it will remain as the missing brick in The Great Structure of Thekkepuram. What do you think about an idea of giving brief discriptions of all (possible) Tharavads with their Name, Pictures, No. of living members etc. (I know it is not as simple as talking like this). Wedding Album is very nice, but please insist that the photos sent for publishing should be a wedding photo, not from their other albums. Nothing can compromise for a wedding photo (bride & groom in their wedding gown). Try to imporve the graphics / scans a little more. eg. The different pages scanned for “Great Personalities” are in different size. A little more care makes a great impact. Its very sad to say that there is no information regarding Bahrain Thekkepuram. Since I am new in Bahrain I tried to check the directory, but found nothing. Even though the number of Thekkepuramates in Bahrain is very very small, at least a telephone directory would be OK as a beginning. Wishing you all the best for keeping this site alive…attractive…and informative……

(Date: 18 Mar 2002) Salam, This is indeed a praiseworthy effort! This site does capture the essence of "Thekkepuram", its close knit family system where every one is a 'cousin' and its distinctive culture. Congratulations. The only drawback I see to this page is that it looks predominantly male oriented! It would be great to see a woman's corner where sisters from this region scattered all around the globe can meet and share views. Would it be asking too much? After all "Thekkepuram " is one of the few places on earth where women are seen on roads, walking on their own securely, way past sunset! Good Job. Jazakallah Khair, Reshma.
